What Are We Doing Today??

Each day begins with flag-rasing and a "WET Meeting" to discuss the day's events. Every day concludes with another "WET Meeting" which includes a review of the day, specimen investigations and a slideshow of photos taken that day. Always remember that activities are subject to change due to weather!



Week One
MONDAY-Welcome to Camp WET! In the morning you will meet your counselors and teammates, take a pre-test and enjoy your first cool-off. After lunch at Stuart Beach, we will go seining in the Indian River Lagoon.

TUESDAY-We'll explore the Anastasia Limestone formations at the House of Refuge. We'll also have time for seining, castnetting and handline fishing. We will be taking “TEAM PICTURES” for a Camp WET craft project.
WEDNESDAY -  The ESC GIFT SHOP will be open today! Bring a few dollars if you’d like a souvenir.We’ll construct ReefBalls and oyster Bags that will provide habitat in our rivers and ocean. Extra long cool-offs after all our hard work! 
THURSDAY- Bring a mask for our snorkeling adventure at Bathtub Reef. If you don't have one, we have masks available to borrow for free.
FRIDAY- We will explore the Indian River Lagoon aboard our boat River Scout. Bring close-toed shoes to wear on the boat. We’ll end the day with a SURPRISE!
 
 Week Two

Monday- WEAR YOUR CAMP WET T-SHIRT FOR WET BUCK$!
Today we will visit Jonathan Dickinson State Park. We will explore the Loxahatchee River aboard the Loxahatchee Queen, learn about Trapper Nelson and climb to the top of Hobe Mountain…the highest point in South Florida!

Tuesday-  Camp WET adventures and cool offs! We'll take a trip to the St. Lucie Lock and Dam to see where Lake Okeechobee is drained into the St. Lucie River.

Wednesday- 
DragonBoats today at the Stuart Causeway. Bring an EXTRA water bottle for your trip! Wear a HAT if you can! Do you know an adult who would like to paddle the DragonBoats with us? Have them contact Mrs. Johnson or Mrs. Speaks

Thursday-Today is the sand sculpture contest, the first event of the Camp WET Olympics! LAST day for WET Banking! (WET Bucks = Team Points for the Olympics)

Friday- RETURN PARENT SURVEYS AND LETTERS! Today is the Camp WET Olympics!!!

 We all WIN when we care for our waterways!

  2. We start with sand sculpture and then have about 8 more games to play. The grand FINALE is counting how many WET Bucks your team earned and adding them to your Olympic total!
